As mentioned previously, Chevrolet has maintained approximately 12.0% of the market share of new vehicle sales over the past few years. This is mainly due to its tremendous truck sales volume which makes up over 14.0% of all truck sales in the United States. Chevrolet’s most popular truck model is the Silverado, selling nearly 600,000 units in 2017 and making up over 40.0% of Chevrolet’s total truck sales. Additionally, with increasing sales in the Equinox and Traverse models, the long-standing popularity of the Tahoe and Suburban units continue to decline. Chevrolet car sales are led by the Malibu and the Cruze, both of which are nearly 29.0% of total Chevrolet car sales.
