Background: RubinBrown understands the importance of supporting team members as they strive to achieve balance between work, life and family. Policy: In order to assist team members in achieving this balance RubinBrown offers as a benefit, Paid Time Off (PTO). Procedure: Full-time and Flexible Work Program team members acquire PTO based on their length of service as defined below as of May 31 of each year. Since PTO balances are established at the beginning of the fiscal year, PTO hours/days are not accrued or earned. PTO pay for full-time and Flexible Work Program team members shall consist of the team member’s regular base rate of pay. Team members may use time from their PTO banks in half hour increments. The maximum PTO day should never exceed 8 hours in one day or 40 hours in one week. Hours paid for PTO will not be included in calculating weekly overtime.
PTO is calculated and granted as follows:
Full Years of Service
PTO
10 years of service
30 days/240 hours
3 years but not more than 10 years
25 days/200 hours
After May 31, of first year of service but not more than 3 years of service
20 days/160 hours
Date of hire through May 31 of the first year of employment
One day/8 hours of PTO for each full month of service through May 31 (minimum of 10 days/80 hours)
RubinBrown’s PTO policy is applicable to all non-Management Group team members. Management Group PTO is discretionary. Members of Management Group should use this policy as a guideline in managing their schedule. When promoted to management group, a team member's current Banked PTO balance will remain intact as the manager transitions into the discretionary PTO policy. Newly promoted management group team members should exhaust their Banked PTO (time code 90402) before coding time to PTO (time code 90401).
