F-SERIES MOST POPULAR TRUCK BY SALES

Of Ford’s nearly 2.5 million unit sales in 2017, truck sales accounted for more than 1.9 million units or 77.0% of Ford’s total sales. Of those units, nearly 900,000 were F-Series trucks, making up 47.0% of all Ford truck sales and over 36.0% of total Ford sales. In 2017, Ford sold nearly 38.0% more F-Series trucks than its entire car fleet. The remaining truck sales are Escape and Explorer models, representing 16.0% and 14.0% of Ford’s total truck sales respectively. Ford’s most popular car model is the Fusion, selling just over 200,000 units, making up nearly 38.0% of total car sales. It’s worth noting the number of Fusions sold is less than a quarter of the number of F-Series trucks sold.
