Companies must do better marketing these wonderful career opportunities within manufacturing so the labor market will better understand the tremendous potential and long-term careers available. Manufacturing and distribution will remain strong in the years ahead, but the processes and products will look much different from what many remember years ago.

There appears to be a trend in companies that were traditionally sourcing products in China for consumption primarily in the U.S. now developing strategies to distribute and sell products in Asian and European markets. The acceleration of automation and the IoT technologies already embedded within many aspects of the processes used in the production of products will certainly continue to change the way we all do business in the future.
