Background: RubinBrown promotes Team Members’ productive use of technology. Policy: RubinBrown provides interest-free loans to both full time and Flexible Work Program team members working 1,000 hours or more in a fiscal year and who have been employed by the Firm for at least 90 days, to finance the purchase of computer equipment. RubinBrown will finance the Team Member’s purchase of a personal computer, software and peripheral equipment (e.g., printer, hand held devices, phones, etc), up to a maximum of $3,000, interest free, in no more than two open loans at any one time. Loans under this Plan must be repaid via payroll deductions over a period not to exceed 24 months. If you should end your employment with RubinBrown for any reason prior to having repaid the entire balance of any computer purchase loans, any balance owed is deducted from any compensation owed to you at that time, to the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulation. If the compensation owed to you is not sufficient to fully cover amounts you owe, you will be responsible for arranging for full payment with Financial Management. Procedure: To request a loan, submit a Computer Loan Application to Human Resources accompanied by copies of invoices, quotations, or other documentation of the nature of your purchase. The loan application is located on the UKG Benefits page, click the Links menu option. Your documentation must support that your purchase is for equipment or software that is compatible with that used by RubinBrown for its own uses. After approval by the Director of Human Resources, the application will be forwarded to Financial Management Department. You will be required to sign a Promissory Note and Security Agreement evidencing your indebtedness to RubinBrown.
