Background: RubinBrown strives to provide medical and dental benefit solutions to team members that are simple, efficient and the most benefit for the best cost. Policy: The Firm offers voluntary medical and dental insurance coverage to Full-Time Regular Status and Part-Time (FWP) Regular Status team members working 1,000 hours or more annually. All Full-Time team members who are participating in the plan are eligible for coverage after the first of the month after 30 days of service with the Firm. Coverage for Flexible Work Program team members, who have chosen to participate in the plan, will begin the first of the month after 30 days of service, anticipating that the team member will work 1,000 hours or more of service in a 12-month period beginning on the date the team member commences employment and in fiscal years beginning June 1. Procedure: Medical insurance benefits will continue in force for a maximum period of 12 weeks throughout a leave of absence. Team members will continue to pay their portion of the premium each regular pay period or make alternative arrangements prior to the team member’s leave. If the team member decides not to return to work, the team member will reimburse RubinBrown for the portion of any unpaid insurance premiums dating back to the original date the leave began. Open enrollment is held in November of each year to provide team members an opportunity to participate in the plan and/or make changes effective January 1.
