Examining EGD revenues, Kansas City was once again the leader in revenue per machine and overall hold percentages, while the Other Communities yielded both the lowest hold and revenue per machine. In comparison to prior years, St. Louis remained relatively constant in terms of hold percentages; however, Kansas City and the Other Communities recorded a 0.1% increase. Examining the hold percentages by denomination, the comparison was consistent with the overall trends and industry standards, as the penny slots had the highest hold percentage of approximately 11.0%. One interesting point was the Other Communities produced the highest hold percentage for both $1.00 and $5.00 machines with an average of 0.5 – 1.0% above the metropolitan markets.
